Professional Parenting is a non-profit program and proud affiliate of:
There are children and adolescents whose sexual abuse history and exposure to violence is so extensive that they develop sexual behavior problems and require out of home placement.
Children in this program are placed with Professional Parenting treatment families specifically trained and supported to meet their special needs. Only one child is placed with each family in order to support a safe and healthy living environment.
Program Components
- A nationally certified program model, The Teaching Family Model, that teaches children socially acceptable behaviors.
- Specially selected and trained treatment parents who are taught strategies for working with this population
- Weekly group sessions, both for the children and treatment parents
- Weekly in-home consultations by professional staff
- 24/7 program and telephone support
- Specialized respite services
- Monthly financial compensation
Referral Information
We accept referrals of children and adolescents who have displayed inappropriate sexual behaviors and are in need of out of home placement.
